Please don’t think we’re being ungrateful or ungracious.
We appreciate your support for all of our various projects, including the new Smoking Flicks.
But please – take a little time when you’re joining, or a member of, any site including ours. There’s very often information posted on the site that’s important for you to know.
Back in September, we posted a number of messages throughout the old Smoking Flicks site, saying that all minutes on the old setup would expire at the end of November – they could not be used at the new site. That message was up for months. You couldn’t buy time to watch videos, without passing right by it. But there are still people writing us, asking why they can’t use their old time on the new site, or even worse, what happened to the old site.
And in several spots on the Smoking Flicks site, including the box right above the “join” form, as well as the FAQ, it warns that the streaming does not work on Macs – only the complete video downloads work on Macs. Yet we’re still getting emails from people asking why the streaming isn’t working for them, and as you’d probably guessed, after several email followups, it turns out that they’re on a Mac.
We don’t want to be harsh, and we do love you all. But please read the comments, directions or FAQs on a site before joining and before emailing support – it’s really in your best interest to do so too!
And thanks again for the great welcome you’ve given the new Smoking Flicks!
