We were watching a great old movie recently, The Good, The Bad and the Ugly, and when Clint Eastwood said to Eli Wallach “After a meal there’s nothing like a good cigar,” our mind briefly wandered to some of the great smoking quotes of all time. The ones that came quickly to mind (we immediately remembered the gist of the quotes, but then found the exact wording online) were:
- Smoking is, if not my life, then at least my hobby. I love to smoke. Smoking is fun. Smoking is cool. Smoking is, as far as I am concerned, the entire point of being an adult. (Fran Leibowitz)
- Being grown-up meant smoking cigarettes, drinking cocktails, and dressing up in high heels and glamourous outfits. (Lorna Luft)
- I will never consider myself a nonsmoker because I always find smokers the most interesting people at the table. (Michelle Pfieffer)
- Smoking is one of the leading causes of statistics. (Fletcher Knebel)
