There’s a new show on A&E that may provide a few decent scenes over the course of its run – it’s called “Roller Girls” and focuses on, as you’d expect, the world of Roller Derby. We’ve watched the first two shows, and while there haven’t been any exceptional shots yet (a couple of drags and a couple of dangles in the first show, a few long shots in the second, no good exhales), it seems that about half of the jammers and blockers (can you tell we watched Roller Derby back in the day?) smoke and smoke well – and since the show is shot in that cinema verite style common to reality shows these days, there’s definitely hope
