Just a quickie that we had to pass along – as we were in line at the drugstore today, we found it heartwarming to watch the girl in front of us – a cute young blonde with long hair, in a running outfit.
She checked out with 2 Valentine’s cards, a big box of chocolate with a ribbon on it – and as the clerk was ringing her up, she asked him to add – two cartons of Benson and Hedges 100s.
He checked her ID (and since we were just behind her, we were able to see that she was 18) – leaving us to speculate, as the clerk got her cigarettes, whether they were for her or perhaps for her mother.
But our question was answered when the clerk came back with two cartons of Benson and Hedges Lights 100s, she made a face and said “No, not the lights, the strong ones. I hate the lights!”
She very sweetly thanked him when he came back with the full flavor B&H, and naturally we paid very quickly for our purchases to head for the parking lot – where we saw her driving away in a VW Beetle, dangling a lit cigarette.
It should be a Valentine’s Day that she’ll enjoy!
