Please indulge us – we have nowhere else to rant at midnight on Friday night.
We had a hard drive crash on an important machine last week. It took almost two weeks to recover from it.
We finally have almost everything back operational again, and were starting to catch up and breathe a sigh of relieve.
This may seem like a non-sequitur, but as Albert Hammond once said, it never rains in Southern California.
Except tonight.
Except on the roof that was allegedly fully-inspected when a leak by the chimney was repaired last year.
So just as we were finishing up work late tonight – we heard a weird noise behind us. We thought it was some papers settling in a pile we had put them into.
Until we turned around, and saw the PILE OF WATER on top of the stack of magazines and videos that were ready to be shipped tomorrow morning.
And then looked up and saw the LEAK in the roof – dangerously close to our newly-repaired computer sits.
So now we have an hour of moving to do – and then roofers, contractors and (we fear) a lawsuit.
When does it end????????????
