As readers of this blog (and most members of our community) are aware, the Video Talk messageboard was apparently torpedoed by someone a week or so ago – it just vanished from its host (apparently after a complaint which the owner of the board is sure came from someone connected to our community). Video Talk is now back operating on a new host.

Well, today we were a target. The server that hosts most of our sites (and some belonging to other members of the community) was hit by a hacker – and for a very brief time, there was code on the sites that downloaded a trojan to anyone visiting the sites.
We discovered it quickly and the situation has been resolved.
For anyone who came across the trojan download during the time before it was removed, our deepest apologies.
But our bigger question: why is there someone apparently targetting sites in our community?
We wish the coward would speak up.
