Well, the big excitement this week here in San Diego was the “surprise, sneak” show that Britney Spears did at the House of Blues, trying to allegedly resurrect her career.
The people who went mostly left disappointed, because she only sang – or rather, lip-synched – for 20 minutes before being rushed off the stage and onto a tour bus.
But the big disappointment was that she was kept so much under wraps during her time in San Diego, that there were no candid photos or video taken anywhere (at least, none that have surfaced so far) – so we have no idea whether her rehab, supposed change of lifestyle and attempt to restart her career – have meant an end to her heavy smoking habit.
That’s the real disappointment in this story – but at least we have the tabloids to look forward to; we’re sure they’ll let us know as soon as they do.
