We’re not presumptuous enough to think that everyone thinks likes us, or that our minds work like everyone else’s.
But we had a thought today, and we bet that we’re pretty close to hitting home with a lot of folks on this one.
We saw a promo for the TV show “Medium” – and the upcoming guest star is Molly Ringwald, who’ll be on with Patricia Arquette.
Now, we’ve seen that show once and didn’t like it – but we certainly can picture what the upcoming show will look like in a vague way.
But for some reason, “Medium” didn’t cross our minds at all.
We thought of Molly Ringwald and thought of the movie “Malicious,” among others.
And we thought of Patricia Arquette, and naturally thought, of course, of “True Romance.”
But what really made us think, was thinking back to last Sunday when Lauren Bacall was mugged for her goodie bag – and we couldn’t help but think of “To Have and Have Not.”
We know that we don’t have to explain to anyone reading this why we thought of those movies – but we have to wonder……was the permanent rewiring of our memory part of the deal that came along with the smoking fetish?
