We managed a very nice sighting today. It was right outside a junior college in the area: three girls who looked to be somewhere around 19-20 came out of a building, sat down, and all three pulled packs out of their purses. All were wearing jeans and t-shirts, with sandal-type heels – light makeup and very attractive. The first, a small brunette, had a pack of Marlboro Lights; the second, a taller brunette, had a pack of Parliament Lights; and the third, a perfectly-built blonde, had a pack of Benson and Hedges 100s (full flavor). All three lit up, and smoked while they chatted – although we weren’t close enough to hear what they were saying. The two brunettes were OK but ordinary smokers, decent inhales and mouth exhales. The blonde, though, was in a different league – full snaps on almost every drag, lots of talking exhales (she seemed to be talking the most) and nose exhales when she was listening to the other girls.
What really elevated this sighting, though, was that the brunettes seemed to be asking the blonde about her Benson and Hedges – a few times, she held up her pack and nodded, and seemed to take a deeper drag and show off even more on her exhale right after that. And when they finished their cigarettes (around the same time, even though the brunettes were smoking regulars, the blonde was taking deeper drags on her B&H 100s), the blonde took out her pack again, and gave each of the two other girls a B&H, apparently to try. Their smoking style stayed the same, of course, but the other two girls seemed to like the B&H, smiling and nodding as they smoked – and it looked like (trying to read lips isn’t easy) the blonde said, at one point, “See? I told you!”
Maybe if she really did converte them to a stronger and more feminine cigarette, she can work on their smoking style next
